Food Doesn't Have to Control Your Life.
Virtual Therapy Available Throughout California & Florida
Food and body struggles are about so much more than food...
Maybe food has become your way of coping, creating a sense of control, or helping you manage emotions that feel too overwhelming to carry. Whether you're caught in the binge-restrict cycle, constantly thinking about food, or exhausted by body image struggles, you don't have to keep living this way.
You might feel...
Trapped in the binge-restrict cycle and unsure how to stop.
Constantly thinking about food, calories, or your body.
Guilty after eating or anxious before meals.
Like your self-worth depends on the number on the scale or how your body looks.
Stuck in an exhausting cycle of "starting over" every Monday.
Disconnected from your body's hunger, fullness, and needs.
Tired of food and body image taking up so much space in your life.
Eating disorder therapy offers...
A place to explore what's underneath your relationship with food and your body without shame or judgment. Together, we'll quiet the food noise, rebuild trust with your body, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and create a healthier, more peaceful relationship with eating, movement, and yourself.
Does this feel familiar?
You feel like food is always on your mind.
No matter what diet, plan, or promise you make to yourself, you end up feeling stuck in the same cycle of restriction, bingeing, guilt, or shame. Maybe you've become an expert at hiding your struggles while convincing everyone else you're doing fine.
You want more than simply controlling your eating. You want freedom—the freedom to enjoy meals, trust your body, and stop letting food or your appearance determine your mood or your worth.
You're tired of feeling like your life revolves around food.
In our work together, we will...
Slow down and explore the emotional, relational, and life experiences that have shaped your relationship with food and your body. Together, we'll build practical tools to interrupt unhelpful patterns, reconnect with your body's cues, challenge perfectionism and diet culture, strengthen self-compassion, and help you create lasting healing that goes far beyond what's on your plate.
MEET YOUR EATING DISORDER THERAPIST IN LOS ANGELES, CA
Hi, I'm Leticia, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) therapist. I help adults heal from eating disorders and disordered eating by addressing the deeper experiences that keep these patterns going. Whether you're struggling with binge eating, chronic dieting, emotional eating, body image concerns, or an eating disorder, you don't have to navigate recovery alone.
I began my career working in higher levels of care for eating disorders, where I supported individuals with complex relationships with food, body image, trauma, and perfectionism. My approach combines evidence-based treatment with trauma-informed and somatic care because true recovery isn't about willpower—it's about healing the underlying wounds that make food feel like the only way to cope.
Here's why I'm passionate about this work: I know how consuming food and body thoughts can become. They can steal your time, your energy, your relationships, and your ability to fully enjoy life. I believe you deserve more than constantly fighting with your body. You deserve food freedom, self-trust, and a life where your worth is measured by so much more than your appearance. I'm here to help you get there.
I know you’re tired of feeling…
...like every day is another battle with food and your body. You're exhausted from promising yourself you'll "do better" tomorrow, feeling guilty after eating, comparing yourself to everyone else, and believing your worth depends on how you look. Maybe you're constantly chasing control, only to feel more out of control than ever.
You miss enjoying meals without anxiety. You want to trust your body instead of fighting against it. You long to stop obsessing over food and finally have the mental space to focus on the people, experiences, and life that truly matter.

Eating Disorder Therapy FAQs

You don't have to meet a specific diagnosis to benefit from therapy. If food, eating, exercise, or body image are causing distress, taking up a significant amount of mental space, or interfering with your daily life, it's worth reaching out for support.
-
No. I also work with individuals experiencing disordered eating, chronic dieting, binge eating, emotional eating, body image concerns, and difficulties with food that may not meet diagnostic criteria.
-
For many people, eating disorder behaviors develop as a way to cope with overwhelming emotions, trauma, perfectionism, or feeling out of control. That's why our work won't focus only on food—we'll also address the deeper experiences and patterns that contribute to your relationship with eating.
-
That's incredibly common. Eating disorders often serve a purpose, even when they're causing harm. We won't take away your coping strategies before helping you build new ones. We'll move at a pace that feels safe while working toward lasting healing.

I am currently considered to be an out of network mental health provider.
I am happy to provide you a superbill each month to give to your insurance. Please check with your insurance about your out of network mental health benefits - many of my clients are able to get reimbursement from their insurance.
Why you should consider working with an “out of network” therapist:
No limitations on sessions. We can meet for as long as you need without having to worry if insurance will cut us off, or end coverage, which could abruptly end your care.
Allows me to offer you more flexible, personalized, and intentional care.
Helps me keep your information completely confidential, without needing to share diagnosis or notes with insurance companies.
Allows us to avoid surprise billing issues, which can lead to lapses in treatment.
Lets us focus on what’s best for you, not what insurance says is best for you!
