Trauma Therapy in Los Angeles, CA
Trauma Doesn't Have to Keep Running Your Life.
VIRTUAL THERAPY AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT CALIFORNIA & FLORIDA
Trauma doesn't stay in the past...
Even if the traumatic event is over, your mind and body may still respond as though you're not safe. Trauma can leave you feeling stuck in survival mode, making it difficult to relax, trust others, or fully enjoy your life.
You might feel...
Constantly on edge or waiting for something bad to happen.
Emotionally numb, disconnected, or like you're just going through the motions.
Triggered by situations that don't seem to make sense.
Stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, perfectionism, or overworking just to feel okay.
Like your body never truly relaxes, even when you're safe.
Ashamed of what happened or blaming yourself for things that weren't your fault.
Exhausted from carrying the weight of your past while trying to hold everything together.
Trauma therapy offers...
A space where your experiences make sense and you don't have to carry them alone. Together, we'll gently process what you've been through, regulate your nervous system, rebuild a sense of safety, and help you reconnect with yourself so the past no longer defines your present.
Does this feel familiar?
You feel like you're always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
No matter how much time has passed, your body still reacts as though the danger is happening right now. You struggle to trust yourself, feel disconnected in your relationships, or find yourself repeating patterns you promised you'd never repeat.
You want more than simply surviving. You want to feel safe in your body, connected to the people you love, and free to live without your past constantly shaping your present.
You're tired of carrying the weight of experiences that weren't yours to choose.
In our work together, we will… Slow down and gently explore how your past experiences continue to impact your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and nervous system today. Together, we'll help your body learn that it's safe again, process painful memories at a pace that feels manageable, strengthen your relationships, and build practical tools that help you move through life with greater confidence, self-compassion, and resilience. My goal is to help you move beyond survival mode and create a life that feels grounded, connected, and authentically yours.
MEET YOUR TRAUMA THERAPIST IN LOS ANGELES, CA
Hi, I'm Leticia, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) therapist. I help adults heal from the lasting effects of trauma so they can stop living in survival mode and start building lives that feel safe, connected, and meaningful. Whether your trauma stems from childhood experiences, relationships, medical trauma, birth trauma, or other overwhelming life events, you don't have to navigate healing alone.
I've spent years supporting individuals recovering from trauma, eating disorders, and attachment wounds using a compassionate, evidence-based, and somatic approach. I believe healing happens when we address both the mind and the body, creating lasting change instead of simply managing symptoms.
Here's why I'm so passionate about this work: I know how deeply trauma can shape the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. It can leave you believing you always have to stay guarded, earn your worth, or carry everything on your own. But healing is possible. You deserve more than surviving—you deserve to feel safe, connected, and fully at home in yourself. I'm here to help you get there.
I know you’re tired of feeling…
...like you have to stay strong all the time. You're exhausted from overthinking every interaction, expecting the worst, and carrying the emotional weight of experiences that still affect you years later. Maybe you've become the person everyone relies on while quietly struggling yourself. Maybe you've learned to disconnect from your emotions just to get through the day.
You miss feeling calm. You long to trust yourself, feel safe in your relationships, set boundaries without guilt, and experience life without constantly scanning for danger. Most of all, you're tired of surviving when what you truly want is to live.

Imagine responding to life instead of reacting from survival mode. You deserve more than just getting through each day—you deserve to feel grounded, empowered, and free to create a life that isn't defined by what happened to you.

Trauma Therapy FAQs
-
You don't need to have experienced a single, life-threatening event for trauma to impact you. Trauma can result from childhood experiences, difficult relationships, medical or birth experiences, loss, chronic stress, or any situation that overwhelmed your ability to cope. If your past still affects how you think, feel, relate to others, or move through the world, therapy can help.
-
This is one of the most common things I hear. Trauma isn't defined by the event itself—it's defined by how your mind and body experienced it. If something continues to impact your daily life, relationships, or sense of safety, your experience matters and deserves care.
-
Healing looks different for everyone. Some clients begin noticing changes within a few months, while others choose longer-term therapy to work through more complex or longstanding experiences. Rather than rushing the process, we'll move at a pace that supports meaningful, lasting healing.
-
Our work together will focus on helping your nervous system feel safer while exploring the patterns your experiences created. We'll use evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches to process painful experiences, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and help you reconnect with yourself. Therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and always tailored to your unique needs.

My fee for services is $225 per 50-minute session. I have a limited amount of sliding scale slots that will be prioritized for BIPOC or LGBTQIA+ clients. There is no guarantee that any of these will be available at the time you call. Please let me know if you need sliding scale fees during our call. If I cannot accommodate, I am happy to point you in a direction to meet your financial needs.

I am currently considered to be an out of network mental health provider.
I am happy to provide you a superbill each month to give to your insurance. Please check with your insurance about your out of network mental health benefits - many of my clients are able to get reimbursement from their insurance.
Why you should consider working with an “out of network” therapist:
No limitations on sessions. We can meet for as long as you need without having to worry if insurance will cut us off, or end coverage, which could abruptly end your care.
Allows me to offer you more flexible, personalized, and intentional care.
Helps me keep your information completely confidential, without needing to share diagnosis or notes with insurance companies.
Allows us to avoid surprise billing issues, which can lead to lapses in treatment.
Lets us focus on what’s best for you, not what insurance says is best for you!
