Women’s Trauma & Life Transitions Therapy in Newport Beach, CA

Helping women heal from trauma, navigate life transitions, and reconnect with themselves beyond the pressure to have it all together.

You Don't Have to Keep Surviving This Way

Anxiety doesn't just affect your thoughts—it can shape how you experience your relationships, work, body, and sense of self.

You might feel…

  • Like you're constantly striving to be better, do more, or meet impossible expectations.

  • Overwhelmed by the pressure to succeed while making everything look effortless.

  • Stuck in cycles of overthinking, comparison, self-doubt, perfectionism, or people-pleasing.

  • Like your accomplishments never feel like enough, no matter how much you achieve.

  • Exhausted from trying to anticipate what everyone needs while putting your own needs aside.

  • Disconnected from yourself, your body, your relationships, or the person you are beneath the expectations you've been carrying.

Therapy for women's anxiety, trauma, and life transitions offers…

A space where you don't have to perform, achieve, or pretend you have everything figured out. Together, we'll explore the experiences, beliefs, and nervous system patterns that contribute to anxiety, perfectionism, and self-doubt. Through a compassionate, trauma-informed and somatic approach, we'll help you regulate your nervous system, rebuild trust in yourself, develop a healthier relationship with your worth, and reconnect with a version of yourself that feels grounded, confident, and authentic.

Does this feel familiar?

You feel like you're never quite doing enough.
Even when you've accomplished something, your mind quickly moves to what's next. You set high expectations for yourself and struggle to feel satisfied with where you are.

Your mind is constantly evaluating and comparing.
You replay conversations, question your decisions, compare yourself to others, or worry about how you're perceived. It's difficult to quiet the inner critic long enough to simply be present.

You've lost touch with what you actually want.
You've become so accustomed to meeting expectations and taking care of others that you're not always sure what your own needs, values, or desires are anymore.

You're ready to stop performing and start feeling.
You want to feel comfortable in your own skin, trust yourself, and experience your relationships and life without constantly measuring whether you're doing everything "right."

In our work together, we will...

  • Explore the experiences that shaped how you see yourself
We'll gently examine past experiences, relationships, and beliefs that may contribute to perfectionism, self-doubt, anxiety, or difficulty trusting yourself.

  • Understand what's happening beneath the surface
Through trauma-informed and somatic work, we'll explore how stress and past experiences show up in your body, emotions, and relationships.

  • Separate your worth from your achievements
We'll work toward a sense of self that isn't dependent on productivity, appearance, approval, or how well you're meeting everyone else's expectations.

  • Reconnect with your needs and identity
You'll have space to explore what you actually want—not what you think you should want—and reconnect with your values and sense of self.

  • Build healthier relationships and boundaries
We'll explore people-pleasing, communication, boundaries, and relationship patterns so you can connect with others without losing yourself.

  • Navigate change with greater confidence
Whether you're experiencing motherhood, relationship changes, career transitions, or another major shift, we'll work together to help you move through change without abandoning yourself.

Together, we'll create a space where you don't have to perform, achieve, or have it all figured out. We'll work toward reconnecting with the person you've always been beneath the pressure, expectations, and survival patterns, so you can feel more grounded, confident, and at home in yourself.

Hi, I'm Leticia, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) therapist. I help women heal from trauma, navigate life transitions, and reconnect with themselves through compassionate, trauma-informed therapy.

Maybe you've spent years being the capable one—the woman who gets things done, takes care of others, and knows how to keep moving forward even when you're struggling inside. You may look like you have everything together while privately dealing with anxiety, perfectionism, self-doubt, or a growing sense that something is missing. Therapy can be a space where you don't have to perform, achieve, or have all the answers.

I've spent years supporting individuals healing from trauma, eating disorders, relationship challenges, and perinatal mental health concerns. My approach combines evidence-based therapy with a nervous system-informed and somatic perspective to help you understand your experiences, build self-trust, and move beyond survival mode.

My passion for this work is deeply personal. Becoming a parent showed me how powerful life transitions can be—how they can bring old wounds, expectations, fears, and questions of identity to the surface. I understand what it feels like to navigate change while trying to care for everyone else and still find your way back to yourself.

Therapy isn't about becoming a different person or getting everything "right." It's about creating space to heal, reconnect with your needs, and build a life that feels more grounded, authentic, and aligned with who you are.
